LinkedIn Growth: Surpassing 100 Million Members & Growing at one Member per Second
- 0 comment(s)LinkedIn has announced today that it has reached a pivotal milestone, the world’s largest professional social network surpassed 100 million users! In celebration of the progress, LinkedIn has released an infrographic which visualizes how they reached that number.
Growth has been accelerating at a higher pace than before, it took LinkedIn 494 days to reach the first million members, now that number is reached every 12 days. It now has members in over 200 countries and most members are actually outside of the United States. LinkedIn’s fastest growing country in terms of new members is actually Brazil, with 428% growth year-over-year.

Jeff Weiner, CEO of LinkedIn, says that the ultimate goal is “to connect all the world’s professional s to make them more productive and successful”. He also states that the 100 million mark is just the beginning and is eagerly looking forward to the next 100 million members.
