James Norrie is an Associate Professor in the Ted Rogers School of Information Technology Management at Ryerson University. He still actively teaches in the Faculty’s highly-regarded MBA program in the areas of Social Media, Technology Law, IT Strategy and Change, Leadership, Project Management, Business Process & Performance Improvement, e-Business and Ethics.
Prior to joining the faculty, James was both an entrepreneur and successful executive with a 10+ year track record of creating, growing or managing high-tech and e-business ventures. He consults to numerous organizations with a particular focus on aligning Business & IT strategy to eliminate business risk and improve organization performance.
James is the author of three best-selling books and will be publishing a much anticipated fourth book. Emanating from several years of in-depth research on social media trends, it is all about Brandstorms and the power of social branding and captive communities as a new approach to both encouraging consumer loyalty and more effectively marketing products and services globally.
James is an internationally known speaker on the topics of social media, leadership, strategy, project management and business performance management.
